Meet Max

The newest member of our family is an incredibly cute, 9 week old cottonball otherwise known as Max. He is a bichon frise and we chose that breed because they are supposed to be the most hypo-allergenic breed of dog--important since Braxton is allergic to most dogs. He is very social, which is good since the boys can hardly stand to put him down!

Go Green

In honor of Earth Day 2009, Braxton's 3rd grade class gave a wonderful concert today for parents and fellow students. They really did a great job!

Braxton was chosen to play the glockenspiel. As you can see, he took his job very seriously.

Try to ignore the music stands...lol. It was impossible to get a group shot without the stands in the way. There were actually about 80 kids on stage. This was during Braxton's favorite song "Agents of Change". Not only were we entertained, but he came home today with tons of ways our family should "go green".
I know there are ways to blog video and not just pictures but I have no idea how to do so...Today was one of those days I wished I knew how...If anyone knows how, please share. Thanks!

Before and After....Up and Down

Braxton's hair had gotten very long. Most of the boys here keep their hair pretty long and he was pretty adament about letting it stay long. Generally I am pretty "cool" about such things but it was always in his eyes. For some reason he woke up today and decided he absolutely needed it all cut off today. It was so long I decided to take before and afters.

I couldn't believe how different and how much older he looks with short hair.

Spring is at least playing hide and seek with North Dakota. Today was cold again but several days last week and several days this coming week are supposed to be 60 so we decided to get the trampoline out again. Braxton has been begging for weeks and at this point, I am all for anything that gets the boys outside again.

As you can see, Braxton is always the showman, the acrobat. It takes Cayden a bit longer to work up the confidence for flips but he soon joins in.

This doesn't look good mid-air but he did actually land on his feet! And, yes, I still worry about his shunt but I am trying to learn to relax a bit more.

Here's hoping Spring decides to take up permanent residence!

The North Dakota Luge

The weather was beautiful here this afternoon which gave the boys a much needed chance to get outside and expend some energy. I was working in the garage when I heard them trying to decide who would ride the luge and who would push...its one of those weird things they have loved watching in the Olympics. I was surprised to see which one got suckered into being pushed. I think you can tell Cayden was surprised too!

This was their version of the two man bobsled. As you can imagine, it didn't go very well...at least for Cayden.

I got this shot quite by accident right after Braxton steered their bobsled off the curb and right into the dirty cold melting snow. Braxton of course somehow came out clean and dry.

Happy Easter from Braxton

Braxton loves to cook and Braxton loves to do crafts so this year I decided to combine those 2 things and let him create an Easter house. He would hardly let me touch it so the credit is all his. He had a lot of fun but I must say that I am still finding little candies everywhere that somehow escaped to a hiding place only to be found under foot in the dark. He and Steve keep trying to sneak a roof piece but Brax put so much icing cement on there that his house should be able to survive a nuclear war.Posted by Picasa
