Wish you were here

It was another gorgeous evening here in North Dakota. Perfect temperature, no breeze. In our family that means roasting marshmallows in the fire pit in our driveway. If you drive through our neighborhood on any given summer night you will see many fires.

Before you say it, yes that is Braxton on his bicycle (minus shirt and shoes) sitting entirely too close to the fire. I’m not sure how that happened actually. Just pretend you don’t notice that.

Flaming marshmallows in our house are for fun not food. The boys don’t like to eat them that way but they always seem to “accidentally” let them burn. Win, win situation that way-you get to watch one burn and then get to roast another to eat.

This is what cut the evening short. Braxton dropped an ooey gooey marshmallow on the ground and Max beat everyone to it. To say he loved it would be an understatement. To say he was a huge mess would be an even bigger understatement.

Y’all come visit. We’ll save some firewood.

I want to come see you soooo bad! I have a free Southwest Airlines ticket that I have to use before March 2010....after reading this post I immediately went to SWA website to look at flight information...of course I already knew that SWA does not fly close to your home...but I was hoping overnight they added Fargo to their schedule! Oh sob...
This morning in my quite time I was thinking I would go to the park and walk today and told...hmmm I bet Laura would go with me. I REALLY want to go to church tonight...Jimmy is starting a new series..."Love, Sex, & Communication" - seems like something I should REALLY hear but Randy has a tummy flu so he can't go...I have no one to go with...and I am not going by myself. (I know...I should just go by myself but that is part of this "new" thing...I can't do it!) Once again I thought....if Laura was here I bet she could go with me. Anyway...enough Tina-Pity party!! I hear John stirring I better see what is going on! Love the post and pictures!! Is that a camera around little Max's neck? Call me later! I love you sweet friend!
